Social Media Fatherhood

As the snow flies outside and the entire area is ingulfed in a blizzard warning, my real children did not have school and are running around enjoying a "snow day". All this activity has made me think about how all this "social media viral" marketing stuff is still in its infancy. I am not sure how this new media will grow up but I know that it exists and needs me.

Minneapolis Boat Show

I have been at the ShoreMaster booths at the Minneapolis Boat Show and things are looking pretty good. We had to change plans last minute because of some DNR issues over the hardcover top that we wanted to release. We did put in the new boat lift canopy that travels up and down, which is pretty cool. The dealers have had times of being very busy and times of being slow. The coming weekend will tell the tale. So what does a dealer do when it is not busy?? Sure it would feel good to go sit down...

The "National Honor Society" of life

I was at the local National Honor Society induction ceremony last evening for kids in our local High School. I got to be thinking about what it stands for and how it could relate to my life and how I do business. The NHS premise is founded on four basic elements, scholorship, service, leadership and character. Walleye Fishing

I had a great evening of catching walleyes. Nothing better than catching through the ice. Check the video out on the ShoreMaster outdoors link on my website. www.garyjohnsonsales.com Mike Schultz and I kept our limit of slot size walleyes. We had to throw many large waleyes back because they exceeded that 20" size. Even if it was 10 below it was hot in the portable house and the fish were lit up.
